I got messages today of girls discouraged because they can’t follow their plan perfectly. Do I follow mine 100% ? No, I mess up all the time 😂. It’s not about perfection but consistency. Me not giving up and continuously moving forward is what got me to where I am now. It takes hard work but it doesn’t have to be torture. I enjoy the training that I do. I like the foods that I eat. You need to find a plan that you can follow and that works for YOU. Operation fix my squats is a goooo 😂. My hip flexors are still angry so I worked on improving my squat form and really trying to stay on my heels which uses your glutes and hamstrings more. My glutes are weak af so naturally my quads try to take over and I squat more on my toes. No more! 😆🙈. It might take me 2 – 3 months but I’m determined to do this properly. Then hopefully I will finally get a joocey bum and a 225 squat without wraps 😂💪🏼. So I took some advice and started with some box squats. At first I was like box squats … idk about that 🤔. But I guess it helps you to engage your glutes more so that’s what did 😊. I warmed up to 185 and did 5×5 to get the feel of the heavy weight. I then lighten the load and did 3 sets of 10 with 135 going really slow and controlled. Next I did some light front squats to get the full range of motion. After squats were done I did a bunch of other exercises like hamstring curls (seated and lying), Romanian deadlifts, glute bridges, good mornings, goblet squats etc. basically anything that didn’t engage my hip flexors. I’m super sore today so I’m glad it’s rest day. 🙌🏼 Shirt – @mbslingshot ❤️

Love leg days! I tried to avoid exercises that aggravated my hip flexors and made sure to stay on my heels with everything as much as possible. My glutes were totally sore the next day! 😳 I never realized how much I’m always on my toes. Well, hopefully focusing on driving through my heels will help me grow a booty finally 😂. I still have some hip flexor stretching videos to watch that you guys recommended. You guys are best! Thank you 🖤

When I say I’m bloated… I’m bloated 😂. I do these bloat posts every now and then but people still get surprised at how big my belly gets. Yes I get bloated and it happens when I eat certain foods. I pretty much know which foods are going to do it (high FODMAP) but sometimes I will eat it anyways 🙈. Like earlier I had Greek yogurt and I got bloated within a few minutes but the bloat only lasted for a few hours and now I’m back to normal 🤗. The foods that make me the most bloated are yogurts, protein powders, apples, pears, watermelon, broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus.

Nutrition is tough 😯. Especially during the holidays🎄. I chatted with @greek_spartan yesterday and he mentioned possibly taking a diet break around Christmas. I always try to go hard core on my diet and then I mess up and get so mad at myself so when I heard this option i felt the stress melt away. So I think right before Christmas I’ll relax a little bit and then kick start the new year off with plan again. For the most part though my diet has been really good. Thanks to @pdxmealprep for helping me stay on track by sending me a weeks worth of meals 🙏🏼. Having meals all ready to go in fridge is a life saver 😆. What are your guys nutrition strategy for the holidays?

So "Do more" is more of a mindset that fuels growth and progress. When you come across a challenge or obstacle and think "this is too much", "it will be too hard," or "it's not worth the effort." Instead, you say "I'm stronger than this" "I'll figure out a way to make it happen" .. "I can do more". You ALWAYS have more in you 💪🏼. Even when you think you have nothing left or it seems impossible. YOU have the power and control. I love that saying "The body achieves what the mind believes." The mind is powerful. Use it to pursue what you really want whether it's that PR in the gym, that marathon you've always wanted to run or even a new job or career. This can apply to all aspects of life. Sometimes you don't realize how much progress you've made till you take step back and look at the big picture. And this is why we bulk 😆. Looking back and seeing how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time motivates me to keep working harder and sticking to this bulk. 9 month difference between these two photos. In my before pic I didn’t train as hard or as heavy as I do now. I mostly did plyometrics and lighter lifting. A month after, I got introduced to a new way of training and started doing more compound movements, pushing myself to lift heavier each week, less rest time, supersets, dropsets and essentially pushing myself really hard in the gym. I got up to 150lbs and then did a bodybuilding show where I leaned out and could actually see what muscle I had underneath. I know I might complain about feeling a little thicker every now and then but I’m actually happy that I can eat lots of food. I’m just pretty upfront about how I’m feeling and some days I feel chunky and some days a feel great 😂🤷♀️#imcrazyiknow. So now the process starts again and it’s time to make some gainz to bring a better package to stage next year 💪🏼.

My fourth pic better be swole 😂. The first pic was after completing @kayla_itsines 12 week BBG and help guide. I thought after following her guide I would have one of those crazy transformations …but nope. Looking back I was overeating (even though I thought I wasn’t) and I also wasn’t weightlifting which has been a huge game changer for my body. After a year of sticking to her program I wanted something a little more challenging and started to get into weightlifting and eventually powerlifting. After lifting seriously for a few months, I decided to do my first figure competition. I was going to the gym consistently so why not? Well it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. So many hours a day in the gym and that was the easy part 😂. Dieting was HELL but I did it and was the smallest id ever been in my entire life. But seeing myself at that weight, I’m wayyy too skinny for my category sooo now it’s time to bulk up and put on some muscle 💪🏼. I had a hard time mentally gaining all that weight back but I FEEL great and my body looks different at this weight than last time. The first pic and last pic I’m 140lbs and the middle pic I’m around 120lbs. #cheerstoimprovement #happytransformationtuesday
